Round 4 Reviews
Leanna-"Meet Marissa"
Im not sure why, but my favorite character vids are always those featuring Marissa. I really liked yours especially because it was upbeat...yet kind of a downer. I loved how you matched the lyrics to Marissa's characteristics and you picked an awesome song for the vid. The pace of the video was awesome...it flowed really well. You showed two sides of Marissa that I think vidders often shy away from doing...even when making videos about other characters. I really admire your vidding skills and the way you pull the final product together to make a memorable video. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Megan-"Lorelai"
Your video was perfect for Lorelie. You showed every single thing that makes Lorelie...Lorelie! This is a perfect video to watch if someobe doesnt understand why she is so crazy. You did an awesome job of acknowledging the character from beginning to end.

Flor-"Crazy For This Girl"
You are officially my favorite vidder! You made yet another video that melted my heart and brought a smile to my face. You picked a great song to express how Seth feels about Summer, but also showed how awesome she is and why audiences love her. Seth and USmmer are my all time favorite couple and your video is my absolute favorite S/S vid. Two thumbs way way up!

Samantha Jackson-"Hearts On Fire"
I was so excited when I saw a Dave/Lane video entered
on the site so it was enjoyable to watch this video.
The song you chose was interesting as I never heard it
before and felt it kinda fit Dave and Lane, but not
quite. However, I loved the transitions you used as
well as the video clips you chose. It was such an
adorable and nicely done video that did a good job of
showing Dave and Lane as a couple. Goood job! :)

Dana Marie-"Pretty Fly"
I loved everything about this video. Seth is my
favorite character on "The O.C." so I was happy to
watch this video. The song you chose was perfect for
Seth and you the song usage was incredible! This was
the only video that had me laughing and clapping so no
wonder it was my favorite. You did a wonderful job of
showing how funny and cute Seth is and how he can get
the ladies no matter how dorky he may be. Such a joy
to watch this video-I watched it over and over again
just for entertainment. I liked the voiceovers you
used as well. So, yes, like I said before, everything
about this video was likable and awesome. What an
incredible job! :)

Aida- "What Hurts The Most"
I loved that you were able to take the movie 1 - 4 footage, and
use it to show a hurt and emotional Hermione. And even though I can
say 100%, without doubt, that I loathe and hate R/Hr with a fiery vengeance...this video
completely rocked! And the reason I chose it as my judges choice was because I when the video
wasn't even halfway through playing I was already drawn into it, wanting to watch more. Which,
surprised me even more since, in history, there has only been one other pro-R/Hr video that I have
actually enjoyed and kept on my computer. The video had all the components of greatness, an emotional center,
a tearjerking but clear point of view, a lot ofcouple angst, and nice editing. Good Job!

Samantha Jackson- "It's Raining Men"
SamanthaJ? I can tell you right now that you were honestly one of the four people up for the Best Vidder award
this round. And even though you didn't win *that* particular award, it definitley won as the video I'd show any of my
non-converted Veronica Mars friends. I also like to get good videos and use them to convert people to watching a show I like, lol.
But anyways, just a few of the scenes (1 or 2) were a little longer than what I preferred. But other than that, the pacing was great,
it was hilarious, and actually made me want to live in Neptune for a second! Great work...as usual.

Faith Mars- "Shut Your Mouth"
Hehe, I liked this video, it was amazing. I liked your use of speeding up the clips because I felt it couldn't of been
pulled off if not for the song. Some of the lip movement during those scenes were a little distracting though, but I guess thats
the default consequence of using the speed up effect. My favorite thing about the whole video was the rapid fade in/fade out, and the quick
cuts to multiple scenes fitting the song usage to a tee. I also loved the effects you used on L/V during the "Shut Your Mouth" chorus scenes.
The video was definitley unique, and you picked a great song to work with. Even though I kind of cut on the speed parts, I have to admit though
that I wouldn't have wanted it any other way, you're editing must've took a LOT of hard work and effort. And I applaud you for that.
I personally am aware that you're fairly new the whole vidding thing, maybe 6 or 7 videos, and all have been produced within recent months.
And what is so impressive is the rate at which you are improving at them with each video, either it's a natural talent or you've been a "closet"
vidder for years. Because I've never seen someone accelerate as much as you have within like one month. Congrats on winning Best Vidder, you really
deserved it!

Wickedripeplum- "Golddigger"
If I didn't like Kanye West's songs before, I do now,
at least the Golddigger song that is. The elements of
this video had me loving this song and I don't even
listen to Kanye West! I recognized the actress
(character) from her character on "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer" so it was cool to see her on "Veronica Mars"
as well (even if I don't actually watch the show).
Everything about this video was perfect from the song
usage to the character to the music and editing. I
thought it was unique that that the vid came from the
song's (or Kanye's) POV. This video kept my interest
throughout and was super entertaining to watch. I
knew from the first few moments of watching this video
that it was in the running for my choice as a judge.
Such an excellent character video-one of the best I've
ever seen. I wanted to watch it over and over again
for pleasure. Amazing job!

Taylor- "Irresistable"
Taylor, I loved the song you used for this video as it
was one of my favorites. This was a great character
video of Logan. The best thing about this video was
how you kept it centered on Logan's actions and
personality as I think you may have been telling it
from Logan's POV. However, I think your video may have
worked better if you improved your song usage by
matching up the lyrics with the clips better like
through his romances with other women like Veronica.
Overall, it was a good character vid that did a good
job of showing Logan's personality and had a great
pace to it!

Taylor- "Sugar We're Going Down"
Another great song that is a favorite of mine! I felt
the song usage in this video was better than in your
Irresistable video. It was a good video for romance
and drama in the lives of Logan and Veronica as a
couple. The only thing that was off in this video to
me was your f irst title page running too long.
Generally, I keep my title pages in my vids for five
seconds, then start showing clips or I start off with
clips and put the title over the clips. For this one,
I think you could start with a mix of drama and
romance in the opening sequence before the lyrics
start. Overall, awesome pace to this video and you
showed a great couple well!

Jule- "Breathe No More"
Wow! I can't believe what an awesome job you did with this video! I must say that when Rory and Lorelie weren't speaking, it was so sad. I could barely stand it. But you then you go and make a video about Rory dying and thats a whole other level. The song you chose was amazing and the way you combined clips from (I'm guessing is a Britney Spears video) was awesome. Lorelie was so depressed and it seemed like her daughter, and best friend, had really died. This was fantastic and I really am looking forward to more of your work. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Wickedripeplum- "Patches"
This was one fantastic video. Why? Becuase you told a story throughout the entire thing. Every clip made sense with the song. It had a beginning and an end, and it was interesting how the story developed. This was a very interesting song that you picked and you did an awesome job of making it relate to the show. I've never seen a video like this before and I can't wait to see more from you. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Leanna- "Trust"
I think you pretty much summed up the main problem all of the main OC couples have....TRUST! Im sure if they watched your video they would think, "DUH! Thats our problem!" Then they could live happily ever after ( but that would make for less drama so scratch that idea!). I loved the angst you portrayed and it kind of made me sad to think that maybe they should not be together, but thats what a great video does. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Flor- "First Date"
Flor, your videos always make me happy! Im a huge fan of the "Fantastic Four" and I think this one is one of my favorites. This was a very fun video and I liked how you did not just focus on one couple, but on the entire group. It was all about the "Group Hang" as Seth would call it and it was a good reminder of why so many people like this show. Music videos don't always have to be about the drama. They can alos be light hearted and fun. You did an awesome job with this one. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Faith Mars- "Missing"
This video had everything that makes a fan vid great; It told a story, had angst, drama, and sadness. Plus, you did a fabulous job with editing. I'm not a Veronica Mars fan but this video made me want to watch it. The awesome thing about it was that you explained what happened to Lilly very well. You did agreat job of acknowledging the character and the storyline and putting it all together. The final product was amazing. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Flor- "Anything but Ordinary"
You did it again! You made a video that exposed the intermost workings of Marissa Cooper. And I never realized how much Avril Lavigne and Marissa can relate to eachother. I bet you could make a Marissa video to every song on an Avril CD. Anwyays, this video was a little lighter than "Nobody's Home" but it still seemed to come back to "Marissa isn't perfect." She does not want to be ordinary and you showed that she is far from it. You are a very dynamic vidder and it shows in every video you make. Reviewed by Dana Marie
Mackenzie (by request)- "Where is your Heart"
Rory and Logan are one of my favorite couples and I was so excited to find a video about the two. You picked a great episode to feature in your video. I loved it because it was the episode where Rory took charge of the sittuation with Logan and that matched the song well. Please make more Rory and Logan videos! Reviewed by Dana Marie
SamanthaJackson - "Come Back Down"
This video was a perfect mix of Logan and Veronica fluff mixed with a little bit of their current season 2 drama! The clips you chose flowed really well with the song. And by the end of the video, I was left nostalgic for LoVe, hoping that she does find a way "to make it back" to him. Reviewed by Leanna
SamanthaJackson - "Basket Case"
This is why you're one of my favorite vidders, because you have such a wide range of types of videos you attempt to do! You go from this nice sweet LoVe vid to an anti-couple Marissa/Oliver vid. I found this vid kind of funny actually (was that intentional?) because of how ironically true some of the lyrics were compared to their situation and Oliver. The vid was good, well, let me put it this way: I happily sat through 3 minutes of "Oliver" time, didn't I?? haha.Reviewed by Leanna
Frelling Tralk - "Eternal Flame"
Aww...what a romantic vid. It was very emotional, and sweet. Clana isn't even one of my OTP's but I couldn't reist voting for this vid in the Most Romantic category. It was undeniable, and you did a great job with it.Reviewed by Leanna
Frelling Tralk - "Full Of Grace"
First off, Lex is my favorite Smallville character. Secondly, I LOVED this video. I first heard this song on Buffy I believe and not since my Buffy days have I seen a video (non-Buffy) done to this song. The video truly had me tearing up (fact: the tearjerker award for Round 3 is still not up yet), and I loved how you displayed the Clark and Lex friendship. You showed it very accurately through Lex's eyes, and it was nice to see his softer side. Reviewed by Leanna
Maz - "Missin' You"
Yay! The review I know *I* have been looking forward to doing. It was judges choice, what can you expect, lol? I loved how you used the "slow motion" effect throughout certain parts of your video. A lot of times vids claim that they're from one POV but it's hard to tell. But not with this one, this video was a shining of example of what TRULY is mvid POV. You really focused in on the quick glances, and looks Logan has sent Veronica that would've otherwised been missed in realtime. Why do I love this vid? Well the song for one, was a good choice. The editing, was awesome, I loved how you did the flashbacks! I couldn't help but rewind it immediately after I finished watching it for judgement, so I could watch it again for enjoyment. And lastly, by the end of the video I was yelling at the screen: "But Logan IS Missing Her!" lol. Or at least I hope he is. Anyways, that's the mark of a truly great video: the ability to draw some emotional response from the audience. Reviewed by Leanna
Christy - "I Want You To Want Me"
I was bummed that I couldn't give this vid more awards, because I really truly was amused (in a good way!) by it. So, this is definitley a very *Honorable* Mention, because I would reccomend it for others to watch as well. On the show, I didn't really care...or put much emotional investment...into the Johnny/Kaitlin relationship (if you could call it that!). But this video had me actually missing it, and thinking, "did I forget something? was their relationship this fun and lighthearted?". Good job! Reviewed by Leanna
Nida- "Halo"
Wow, what can I say about this vid? Well for one, I've been watching each of these vids again while typing these reviews. But for this video I can't do both at once. Mainly because even though I've seen it like 50 times before, I don't want to miss any part of it when watching it again. So instead, for this review, the video is paused while I type. Hehe. Nida, this video is all kinds of excellent! And here I thought I was the only crazy person with a Lex/Lana vid on her To Do List. Smooth transitions. Perfect clip choices, which is even harder when the couple isn't actually a couple! But I guess it helps that there's the chemistry, that they've kissed a few times, and that they have a high likely hood of actually becoming a couple. But still with limited clips (compared to Clark/Lana), you did masterfully. And other than that, I'm speechless. Reviewed by Leanna
Shoopdancer- "Numb"
Shoopdancer, this was your first Veronica Mars vid? *jaw drop*. I wish all our first ventures into a vidding a certain fandom turned out as well as yours did. I can honestly say, without doubt, that as far as editing goes: you're the person I look up to. Whenever I start a new vid lately, I've seriously been thinking "how would Shoopdancer edit this?" I love your signature style of fast-paced and succinct editing. It amazes and wows me everytime, I believe my most current vids have been cut similarly because of your influence. The video was of course, and not surprisingly, great! I loved how you captured the creepy relationship of Logan and Aaron, and the song was perfect for them. I especially loved the "I can feel you there" parts of the video. Reviewed by Leanna
Mariah- "Broken Glass"
I hate VD, but I can't help but love watching your vids! Lukicly for me though, most of them are anti-couple centered. You definitley have a way of showing just how messed up Duncan and Veronica are together, and I applaud you for that! Reviewed by Leanna

Flor- "Because You Live"
Flor, this video put a huge smile on my face! Seth and Summer are my all time favorite couple and you captured all of their best moments wonderfully in your video. However, Im not a huge Jesse Mcartney fan but I thought the song went very well with your concept. You're awesome with making the clips in the vid match the song just right. Also, you dont use special effects to over power the concept of the video, which I like. You used simple transitions and a few fades here and there. Less is more! Don't be so modest about ur work...you are great!
Flor-"Nobody's Home"
DRAMA,DRAMA, DRAMA! That is what sums up Marissa Cooper, and your video captured just that! People usually think of Marissa as a poor little rich girl who brings her problems upon herself, but your video shows that hers are numerous and nothing like any normal teenager goes through. Life is not easy, not even for the rich, and you showed that. The song choice was perfect for Marissa and you also did an awesome job with the clips relating to the music. I love that you ended it with the classic Marissa Cooper moment...her screaming by the pool! She's gorgeous but disfunctional and your video represented that perfectly!
